The Fall Flood Run is an obvious reminder that the midwest biker season will soon be coming to a wintery end. But even China’s Closing Olymic Ceremonies don’t hold a candle to the thunderous march of the Flood Run. The day goes quick and with 90 degree weather, the stops seem too close together. For the Driftless Riders, the ride was a blur, so rather than give a “play by play” breakdown of the day we thought we’d share some of our favorite moments with photos. Enjoy.
Main Street in Prescott
Bikes coming from every direction
90 degree tempatures call for minimal clothing
Crotch rockets leaving some rubber behind
Pulling into Nelson
Minneiska – Buck’s Bar
Enjoying the view
Naughty nurses. Enough said.
Ahh, good times. It was a great day for riding, the weather couldn’t have been any nicer.
Nice work with the photo at Buck’s in Minneiska. The shading makes it look pretty cool.
Nothing much to say except what another awesome Flood Run!
The flood run was an awesome day with all the back road riding, river scenery and the great weather how could anyone want for more. Good friends, cold beer, barely dressed women and the open road it doesn’t get any better than that. My hat’s off to the driftless riders and their great web site, Keep it coming. As always: keep it pointed into the wind with the sun on your back and no rain insight, just ride baby ride.
